Last lesson we talked about UK families. I found a few same things between UK families and Chinese families, also there are some differences between them.
Both Chinese families and UK families are usually nuclear families, and there is usually no elderly family members live with. Elderly family members in China help their families to take care of grandchildren, because both men and women have jobs, they don’t have time to take care of children and elderly family members. But women in UK families usually don’t have jobs, or they don’t do full time jobs. They do a lot of housework at home. Men often are money earner of families. Sometimes, even women have full time jobs, they
still have to do a lot of housework.
still have to do a lot of housework. In China, every families are only allowed to have one child, so children in Chinese families often find jobs later, their often study a lot and find jobs after they get their diploma, before that, their parents always give them money to live. But in the UK, families can have children as many as they want, so children usually are more independent than Chinese.
There are more interesting things will be discovered to follow my life in the UK.

Hi Ke
Thanks for thinking and writing about symmetrical families and the comparisons between the UK and China.
In your post you say 'usually women in UK families don't do full time jobs'....'they do a lot of housework..' Do you have some evidence to support this statement?
